Wachapreague

"Little City by the Sea"

About

Wachapreague is a historic fishing town of about 230 full-time residents on Virginia’s Atlantic coast. The town features Victorian-era neighborhoods, walkable streets and an amazing bird-watching on the waterfront that features some of the last undeveloped wetlands on the mid-Atlantic seaboard.

The town has a hotel, bed and breakfasts, sport-fishing and kayaking opportunities, art galleries featuring local artists and a friendly gourmet coffee shop. Call for an eco-tourism boat ride to see dozens of bird, mammal and sea creatures, or tour the new campus of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science of the College of William and Mary situated between our boathouse and the water.
